The one-in-a-million best artists are nuts – at least compared to others. They’re driven, compelled, and unhindered by practical or personal matters. Their muse causes a continual juggernaut. That theme hit home for me on 3/31/2011 in “Something Intangible” - the Firehouse Theatre Project’s current production.
All of us who are artists experience little bursts of this from time to time, but “Something Intangible” shows us a damn-the-torpedoes, 24/7, all-out artist. Although the artistic products of these rare persons are glorious, there are always casualties and debris along the way - and usually at the end.
