On 10/22/2011 I saw dozens more precious artworks (all small) by lots of artists at the “Small Tapestry International 2: Passages” exhibition at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen.
These are artworks that you linger in front of and up close to and tilt your head and shake your head and smile. I gave my personal prize to Kathe Todd-Hooker’s pair of embroidered rayon floss landscapes: “Kona Orange – Between Day & Night 1,” and “Kona Pink – Between Day & Night 2.”
I’d like to own both of them – and hang them near the monkey totem.
