Support the nonprofit arts/culture organizations that you like best
The organizations that you patronize, that you volunteer your services for, that involve your children, and that move and inspire you. All of the Richmond region’s arts/culture organizations need continual philanthropic support, and your personal gifts are never too large. Support the Arts and Culture Endowment owned and managed by The Community Foundation
In 2009 CultureWorks established a permanent endowment - owned and managed by The Community Foundation - whose sole purpose is to strengthen arts and culture in the Richmond region. Among the $500M in endowed funds owned by The Community Foundation, the Endowment for Arts and Culture is the only fund that focuses specifically and only on arts and culture. Disbursements from this Endowment are advised by the Board of Trustees of CultureWorks – the service/leadership organization formed as a result of the 2009 Richmond Region Cultural Action Plan.
Established by gifts in memory of the late philanthropist Waverly Manson Cole, the Endowment for Arts and Culture welcomes continual additional outright gifts as well as designations in estate plans.
