“I chose these events because each of these institutions holds deep, personal meaning for my family and me.”

  • Open through 12/1: Monument Avenue: General Demotion/General Devotion at The Valentine Museum – “The Valentine offers relevant and timely perspectives that challenge audiences to think beyond dated historical perspective and consider the impact on contemporary communities. They’ve done amazing work opening space for dialogue about race and history in Richmond.”

  • Open through 12/21: Sundry Souls: Views. Values. Vibrancy. at the Black History Museum – “The Black History Museum offers an important perspective on the role and influence of Black people in the shaping of US culture.”

  • Open through 1/5:  Bionic Me at the Science Museum of Virginia – “My children and I spent countless hours at the science museum learning and playing together. So much so that I believe it influenced my college kids into science majors.

On October 30 from 4-7 PM, join us for Wine Wednesday at Lemaire! During this “artober hour”, a portion of proceeds from featured bottle and glass selections will benefit CultureWorks. It’ll be a great way to start winding down from all the excitement of artoberVA.

It will surprise you to see all the awesome things still happening during these last few days, right up through October 31. Check out these great artoberVA experiences to include in your Halloween plans!
